12 WEEKS!!!!!

12 weeks pregnant
So we had another appointment yesterday we got another ultrasound and met a new doctor. I personally did not like her. I asked her how she did with natural birth and said said she views natural birth as both c-section and vaginal birth.

So to be more clear for her i said i mean natural as in no pain meds and vaginal. She then told me that if i swear or spit at them then the pain would be to much and i WOULD HAVE to have pain med.

First off i will not be spitting at her so im not worried about that but i cant say that i wont swear i might cause it might hurt really bad. If she dont like it she should find a new job! i will not be getting pain meds and im sorry but they can not force me to do crap!

I also asked her how she felt about waiting till the for the cord to stop pulsating? she said they normally wait a min and then cut it. I then told her that we wanted to wait till it was done pulsating before it be cut cause we want the baby to have all the babies blood back in its body instead of still in the placenta.  She then said that she would still cut it only after a min cause she didnt want to wait. i find that to be unacceptable. I can understand that if the cord is around the babies neck or some other thing where it would hurt the baby or mother that it must be cut then but just cause your to lazy to wait is not a good enough reason for Rob or me.

She said that sometimes it can take up to 45 mins for the placenta to come out and that she dont want to wait the whole time for that to happen and the placenta to come out and then cut the cord. im pretty sure that it doesnt take that long for it to stop pulsating. She then tried to tell me that if i didnt cut the cord right away that the placenta could take to  long coming out and then she would have to to go in with her hand and arm and pull it out. That is so dumb first off even with the baby still attached by the cord your body will still have contractions which will make the placenta come. Im not stupid this is not my first baby i am not falling for her crap!

I then said i would put it in my Birth Plan that thats what i want. She then pretty much told me that what most people say they dont want to happen is what happens like it pisses her off so thats what she does. Fine goo a head and do that but just know ill sue the shit out of you if you force me to have pain meds, pit or any other med that brings on labor that is not natural and if you use instruments on my child that i do not okay and you leave bruising on them you can be sure that i will sue even if it doesnt lead to a settlement of cash it will still leave a mark on your name and career and that will make me more than happy!

Here is the new doctor we met.

Dr. Middleton is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Columbia Campus and the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her residency at Franklin Square Hospital Center in Baltimore, Maryland. She joined Women’s Healthcare Associates and is a Board Eligible Obstetrics and Gynecology physician. Her accomplishments include the 2005 and 2006 William Scott Taylor, M.D. Award for Professionalism and first place award for the Nagey Symposium Research Presentation (Baltimore, MD) 2008. She resides in Jacksonville.

So we also went and had another ultrasound done. She took her time she spent at least an hour with us looking at our baby. She changed my LMP to 11/3 which kinda makes me mad cause i know when i had it but i guess its only a day so its not that bad. She also changed my due date to 8-10-10 which is also a day later. which i dont get why they changed it like that she said it was cause they were going with how big the baby measured with the ultrasound so by my old one that i had done they were changing me to be 12 weeks 2 days but when they did this ultrasound the baby measured to be 12 weeks 5 days so i would think with the logic she was saying that they would have moved my due date up and not back but whatever im still going with im gonna have this baby in July.   so here are lots of baby pics for you to enjoy.

here is the little bean just relaxing maybe thinking about supper or taking a nap it was really cool to watch the baby flip into that position.

in this one you can see the little feet and legs the arrow is pointing to the sex but since we are only 12 weeks and the female parts have not pulled back into the body yet she said that she couldnt get a good enough view to say for sure it wasnt a boy. but she sure did take a good long shot at trying to find out for us.

Here is a profile view for you to enjoy we were so happy when we seen this photo. the baby is sticking out its tongue. and just relaxing.

here she took another shot of its little feet and legs and the gender area.

this pretty much tells it all with the words on the side but if you cant see what it says it says foot but its both feet.

Here is another profile for you to look at. You can already tell that its going to be a beautiful baby!!! sorry about the finger prints that showed up when we scanned the pic we didnt notice it till we put it up on here.

The heart rate was 158 just like before at the last ultrasound.  I thank god have not gained any weight in the first trimester which is almost done so hopefully i will stick with just the normal 30 pounds you are to gain that all goes away when you have the baby.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at the ultrasound pics and well keep you updated on what the test come back saying in about a week when i talk about how the 13th week is going.

11 weeks!

Today i am 11 weeks and i feel like shit! Today is also the 17th which means its one month till i get my two teeth pulled which im not very excited about since everything i read says that they cant give me good pain meds so ill feel it and if that's the case just skip shoving the big needle in my mouth in the back where my lower jaw meets the top part of the jaw. i wont lie im scared i hate going to the dentist but i cant really take it any more. Ive also never have had any of my teeth pulled that i can remember so im scared of what it will feel like after with the gaping hole luckily tho they are my molars so its not something anyone can see.

I find it very funny that i could push a baby out with no pain meds and deal with all of that pain but the thought of going to the dentist and having them pull my teeth i cant handle. Im sure that having a baby hurts way more than having your teeth pulled. maybe its the fact that i have to get up at the but crack of dawn when its still dark drive the hour and then some to make it to the 7:45 am appt and try to not vomit all over them or the car on the way there or the way home.

i am very glad that rob will prob be home or have that day off to help me with phoenix. part of me wishes i could stand the taste in my mouth from these two broken teeth so i could just hold off till after the baby and then i could pump for the time i would be on the Valium that they wrote for me to take before i got pregnant to get it done and i could get the full strength of stuff they shoot into the nerves so i didn't feel it. but i cant and i think all the mouth wash i have been using to try to make it till the 17th is just way to much and bad.

okay here is what the baby would like this week if we could get a sneak peek.

11 weeks pregnant

only 203 days left.

Oh i got sooo sick last night i thought i was going to have to go to the hospital to get an iv to make sure i was dehydrated. i got the worst headache ever it felt like my neck was broke it would hurt then go numb and then sharp pains again and my face felt like it had just got hit with a sludge hammer and my ears hurt all the way down deep which felt like i had shoved something sharp into in ear. I also had bad neck pains. we tried everything and nothing was working and then i started vomiting and i couldn't keep anything down and as the hours went on the sicker i got and the more it hurt and the pain was starting to make me vomit as well. rob made me a hot pack with a wet rag and zip lock bag with a min in the microwave. it felt good on my neck but hurt worse everywhere else. My mom told rob to give me some Tylenol and pack my neck and head in ice and see if that helped. 30 mins in i was drinking a little and keeping it down and 3 1/2 hours later we were both out cold.  im still sick today and have been trying some of the same things but i still have not ate cause im scared to vomit and be on a roll again. i have been drinking alot tho and keep that down so maybe if i just hold off a bit longer i will start to feel better all the way.

We are really hoping this is a girl cause if its a boy i dont think i will be doing another baby for a long time longer than this time which by the end is almost 4 years apart. i really want to be popping this baby out already and thats not a good thing cause its way to early but i cant handle being this sick all the time. I thought i had a rought pregnancy with Phoenix but its nothing compared to this one.

I have also been craving mad orange flavor.

next week i get another ultrasound. should be interesting to see the baby hopefully they will give us another picture to post on here on our little one.

Things we are going to buy for the baby

Here is the crib we like alot and are thinking of going with.

http://cdn.overstock.com/images/products/L12155896.jpg
We really like that the side doesn't come down. Since Phoenix was such a jumper we were always afraid of the side snapping from the give it had to have to move up and down and his hard core jumping. it also seems to be built alot better than Phoenix's crib was built so we also think it will hold up better and longer.

Here is one of the swings we are going to purchase.
Graco Sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center - Snuggly Safari - Graco - Babies"R"Us
Graco Sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center - Snuggly Safari - Graco - Babies"R"Us
This one cost the most which kinda upsets me cause i found it on lejeune yard sales for super cheap i mean cheap hardly used but we just couldnt spend the money since we are trying to have all we can till rob gets another job. Its okay tho rob said that if we cant find it at the price again he will buy me this one at normal price cause he also likes all the features. Im not to big on the print the first version was so much better but i still like it. this swing is awesome here are just some of the features
  • The multi-sensory soothing swing with the most customizable options to suit your growing baby needs
  • Exclusive patented MomMotion rocks baby exactly the way you do
  • 4 seating positions and 3 recline positions to mimic the way you hold the baby
  • Removable seat doubles as a convenient floor rocker
This swing will be for the main living room and kitchen area and maybe the front room if i can find a open plug in to plug it in.

we are planning on getting a travel swing as well thats prob used cause Lejeune yard sales has great used products for great prices. alot of the stuff for sale is from smoke and pet free homes and look new or almost new so ive been looking around on there and keeping my eyes on good deals.  ill post some pics of them if i pick them up cause we were also thinking about getting a swing for our bedroom but still not sure on this yet as were already cramped for room.

Here is kinda what the breast pump looks like that i got

Medela Single Deluxe Battery/Electric Breastpump - Medela - Babies"R"Us
Mine is a double pump tho i think its a older model that's i cant find it anywhere. Lucky tho i can still buy new parts for about 15 dollars and throw away the ones she used. this one pump is 70-80 bucks where you look for it but all the doubles are 150 plus i got mine on lejeune for 25 bucks!! it was a great score and it seem to look like its going to work it turns on i can feel suction.

The last thing that we have found that we like so far is a Pack and play

This is the girl one but it also comes in boy colors they are blue, brown and green. Its very nice!

Red Cabbage Gender Test

So i thought for fun i would take the Red Cabbage gender test.
here is some info i found on it that made me want to try it.

Okay, so I've found the most fun baby gender prediction test ever. You all know how much I love science stuff and being in the lab and gathering data, right? Well, this one is right up my alley. It's a baby gender prediction test that involves testing for urine pH using a red cabbage indicator. I found the test here so you can check it out.

The science behind this baby gender prediction test is pretty simple. Theoretically, your urine pH (how acidic or basic it is) changes based on whether you're pregnant with a boy or a girl. I believe that's how the baby gender prediction tests you can buy in the store work too. But they can be a little pricey. Red cabbage has pigments in it that are sensitive to pH and turn a different color based on how acidic or basic a solution is. Ergo, you can do a super cheap test on your urine pH using red cabbage from the grocery store

Here's how I did it:

1. Cut half a red cabbage into little pieces. If you're not feeling morning sick at the time and can stomach some of the red cabbage, enjoy a few bites while cutting. Great fiber and tons of nutrients.

2. Bring about 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the cabbage pieces and remove the pan from the heat to let the cabbage simmer for about 10 minutes until the water turns a deep purplish color.

3. Strain out the cabbage pieces and keep the water. Add equal parts of cabbage indicator water and urine. Concentrated urine (first thing in the morning, for example) works best, but try several times throughout the day. Watch for a color change!

This test says that a pink/red color indicates a boy and a purple color indicates a girl. The only problem I've found with this test is that people can't agree on what the colors mean.

Cabbage indicator water  Plus a little pee...oooooohhh, pretty!

I held my breath as I watched the indicator change colors and it came up a beautiful pink. I'm going to stick with the original website and say that means BOY.

So here is mine now I went down to my friend Erins house and we Tried it out. They say you get better results with this test if you do it before 10 weeks but i did it 10 weeks 6 days. anyways i just did this to have fun i plan to add the other gender tests on here as well that way when we do find out the sex of the baby we can see if they were correct or not!! should be fun! Cole was also very nice and helped with this and peed in a cup for us to see what it changes to with male urine.

This is what it looked like before we added my morning sample. nice and blue.

this is my Results!!! GIRL!!!!!!!
but to be interesting we tried it with Coles sample.

Coles is a red pink color as you can see
which means BOY!

All three so you can see the difference

Here is me with my sample and looking like
crap! just one more sign of girl maybe
as the old saying goes
girls "steals” the mother’s beauty

Well all in all it was kinda fun to see what  happened.  im going to do some more test and see what they say and post them like i said and when we find out the sex we can see which ones were right and which ones were wrong. im going with 50% are wrong LOL

10 Weeks

Finally were at ten weeks.
At this point of your pregnancy, the crown-to-rump length of your developing baby is 1.25 to 1.68 inches. It is now easier to tell how much the baby weighs since he is beginning to put on some weight. Your baby weighs approximately 5 grams and is the size of a small plum! The baby has grown an incredible amount during these past few weeks

This week is somewhat of a landmark for your developing baby. By now, your baby's complete body plan is laid down. Your baby will continue to develop and grow for the remainder of the pregnancy. The fingers and toes have separated and the tail has disappeared now. Your baby has taste and tooth buds at this point, which will continue to develop. The brain will continue to grow at an amazing rate and nearly a quarter of a million new neurons are produced every minute! The embryonic heart is completely developed. External genitalia are not apparent until next week, but a male's testes will already be producing testosterone.
10 weeks pregnant

9 Weeks

This week i am back to being sick and hanging out in the bathroom for most of the day and night. I have been taking baths which seem to help but have found that what really works best is super chocolate malts with EXTRA EXTRA malt mix in it that powder stuff yeah its super good. if we run out of ice cream i just mix it in with the milk and it seems to really help. With my first pregnancy i craved Mexican all the time, fired chicken, bananas foster(i only craved this once or twice tho) which sounds really good right now too and pizza at the end me and whoo bear (zoie) were eating a whole pizza at every meal. I would eat the pizza and she would eat the crust. I really hope i stick with fruit cravings and malts cant get to fat on that. we had fired chicken the other night and it made me sick just looking at it. We also have had tacos and other Mexican food the other night and they really have not agreed with me. mostly the only reason we had it was it was late and i had to go get something to make for super and it seemed like the fastest and easiest thing to make and Larry made the other dish to use up the chicken we had left over. Phoenix has been awesome so far at trying his best to stay in the living room or in bed with mommy when daddy isn't home or with G-ma and G-pa. Phoenix seems to be taking the idea okay about having another baby some days he says he wants it to be a boy and most days he says he wants it to be a sister. He is going to be such a good big brother either way! He says that if we have a boy we should name him Cole and if we have a girl we should name her Mackenzie both are kids that live next door. =)  We have found some stuff for the baby so ill be making a post about that as well.

8 weeks

8 weeks  December 28th, 2009 224 days to go
8 weeks pregnant

By the end of your second month of pregnancy, your baby is about the size of a pinto bean and is approximately 14 to 20 mm long. However, by 6 weeks of pregnancy, your uterus has grown to the size of a grapefruit! Your baby is developing at an amazing rate during these early weeks. Eyelid folds and ears are forming. Your baby's eyes are still very wide apart on the sides of her head, but will eventually center themselves out. The tip of the nose is actually present at this time as well. On ultrasound you can see that the aortic and pulmonary valves of the heart are present. The tubes that lead from the throat to lungs are branching and your baby's torso is getting longer and beginning to straighten out

The tiny person is protected by the amniotic sac, filled with fluid. Inside, the child swims and moves gracefully. The arms and legs have lengthened, and fingers can be seen. The toes will develop in the next few days.

The umbilical cord contains 3 blood vessels which link your baby's system to yours. The big one supplies your baby with blood which is rich in oxygen. The two smaller blood vessels return blood to the placenta. This blood is low in oxygen, and full of waste materials. At birth, umbilical cord can be two to four feet long.

Well i have been bleeding for 4 days straight. My morning sickness is gone and i feel weird so i called the clinic and they said to come in and see why im bleeding and if im having a miscarriage. With worry we went to the clinic. they did another Ultrasound
 https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=e6bc2bf055&view=att&th=1262aec3db49b194&attid=0&disp=inline&zw

They said that i was showing i was around 7 weeks or so but they are four days off. I know i know that's not that much but I'm sticking with my body and what i feel since i know my body better than anyone. Phoenix(our son) measured small to in the beginning. The heartbeat was 158 (they say if the heartbeat is over 140 its a girl! i guess this goes along better with everyone who think im having a girl!) They couldn't figure out why i was bleeding but said that if i keep bleeding into the 12th week or later i will be a high risk pregnancy.

Here is the Doctor we met with

Dr. Nicole A. Hagedorn Dr. Hagedorn is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point ant the Michigan Sate University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has been a practicing OBGYN since 1998. Her special interest is in Hormone Imbalance and Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy. Accomplishments include: American Board of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOOG) 2001 American Board of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM) 2007, and the American College of Anti-Aging Sports Medicine Professionals (ACASP) in 2007. She and her Husband David Hagedorn, Ph.D., BCIA-EEG who is employed at Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital as a clinical psychologist and instructor with Family Medicine resides with their children in Jacksonville.

She was really nice she also informed us that my thyroid was low and that i needed to start taking medicine for it. I told her that i couldn't take my prenatal vitamins anymore cause they were making me so sick so she gave me some samples and i really liked the Prenexa ones.

Here is some info on them:

Prenatal vitamins for moms in the know

Did you know that the March of Dimes® recommends that all women of childbearing age take a multivitamin containing folic acid?22 With PreNexa® prenatal vitamins, you can feel good knowing that before conception, during your pregnancy, and throughout breastfeeding, you have made the right decision for you and your baby.
  • PreNexa® prenatal vitamins are a source of folic acid, which, in addition to a healthy diet, helps reduce the risk of neural tube defects (NTDs)7
  • DHA, or docosahexaenoic acid, is a key omega-3 fatty acid found throughout the body, and it helps with the development of baby’s brain and eyes8,9
  • Unlike other sources of DHA, PreNexa® DHA is plant-based—it is derived from microalgae10
  • PreNexa® prenatal vitamins contain an additional source of vitamin B61
  • PreNexa® prenatal vitamins contain docusate sodium—a gentle stool softener—for added comfort during pregnancy1

They dont smell like fish and i love that fact they kinda smell like candy.

I got my info from the PrNexa Website www.prenexa.com/
I got my  doctor info from their website http://womenshealthcarenc.com/meet_WHAstaff.htm

There are six OB doctors and two Midwifes. im going to show just the Two OB doctors that i have met so far so you can meet each with me. So far i really have liked the two i have met. Very friendly and answer questions no matter if they find them silly or not. =) The second OB i will show in the next post.

Dr. Timothy Edwards
Dr. Edwards graduated from Jacksonville High School
in 1970. He attended undergraduate school at UNC Chapel Hill and in 1978 graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. After graduating in 1978
from Wake Forest Dr. Edwards did his residency at Duke University. Upon completion he joined Women’s Healthcare Associates in Jacksonville, North Carolina as a General OBGYN. Dr. Edwards is board certified with the American Board of OBGYN. His career
accomplishments and awards include: 1985 Onslow Memorial Chief of Staff, 1994 President of Wake Forest  University School of Medicine
Medical Alumni Association. He resides in Jacksonville
with hiswife Susan and family.

I had my first apptment with Dr. Edwards and thought he was pretty funny and easy to feel comfortable with. I told him i was scared of having this baby at home by myself as i had my first child in two and a half hours from start to finish and that once i hit 5 cm its only mins until the baby is out. He told me that if it would make me feel better that i could pitch a tent on the property and then i would not have to worry about it if it would make me feel better about having a baby by myself. I thought this to be funny and a great comment as he seems to already know me. He also then joked about how since im from WI i wouldn't need a tent i could tough it out just on the yard. i told him that i could tough it out cause that's what us Wisconsin folks do.

With my son when it was almost time to have him i got scared and told my doctor at the time that if he didnt give me what i wanted i would make his life hell. he smiled asked me what it was that i would like and so i told him i wanted a C-section. LOL i wanted a Natural birth and no pain meds just some water and walking and the ball that was it i was scared to have c section, but i was more scared to have a baby by myself and not on a day my doctor was on call. =) so he said no cause he knew what i wanted and that i was just scared. I then told him that i would sit in his front yard and push this baby out in his yard if he didnt give me " a god damn c section!"  he smiled and said that he would but that i would change my mind again as time went on i told him he would drop dead before i changed my mind.  none the less i did change my mind about 4 days later when i went back to freaking out about being cut open while being awake and that big ass needle going into my spine.  so i went back at my next appt 2 days later and told him that i had changed my mind. that i no longer wanted a c section that i wanted to be induced with him that way i would have my baby with him and i wouldn't have to do it alone. He agreed as i again told him i would not leave his front yard till i popped the baby out. But lucky for Doctor Dovre i never sat in his front yard demanding things nor did he deliver my son cause i went into labor early and without him.

Dr. Edwards also talked to me about how i wished to have the baby i said i wanted to do an all natural birth again with no pain meds. He said that was strange cause there was another girl that was just in the day before that was also from Wisconsin and she also wanted to do a natural birth without pain meds. I told him us northerners have a great pain tolerance. He laughed. I then told him that i was scared to death of the needle and that i would rather have my right arm cut off then have to have that needle shoved in my spine.

So over all i am very happy with my Clinic so far we shall see as time goes on what i think more later on.

5, 6, 7, weeks

5 weeks pregnant5 weeks

Decmeber 6th 2009 245 days to go!
So this is what you look like at five weeks. i wasnt sick at this point yet and feeling awesome and excited thinking i wasn't going to have morning sickness! HAHA what joke as i would soon come to find out.I ended up in the ER cause i was spotting and cramping really bad and was worried that i was miscarrying. so we went and waited 5 flipping hours to get checked out to make sure everything was okay and then another few hours to find out what they knew. i got and ultrasound done but didnt get to see it as of hospital rules and ER rules. They said hours later that the baby was fine. they didnt know why i was bleeding but that they saw the baby and that the heartbeat was 87 ( i believe or it might have been 97) which was normal cause the heart had just been formed and starting to beat where it could be picked up

December 13th 2009 238 days to go
Six weeks.  Still no morning sickness yet! but starting to feel it coming on.

6 weeks pregnant

your developing baby is 2 to 4 mm long. Although you will not be able to hear your baby's heartbeat with a Doppler yet, you might be able to see it beating if you have an ultrasound now. Although the embryo is still very small, it is growing and developing rapidly. Your baby's early brain chambers are forming and the eyes are also beginning to form. Buds will appear and will develop into arms and legs in later weeks. The heart is starting up. The fetus` blood group may be different from your own! Facial features are visible, including a mouth and tongue. The eyes have a retina and lens.

The digestive system starts forming, beginning with the first cells of the stomach and the intestine.

There are small indentations in the head, ready for the development of facial features, eyes, and ears. The outline of the jaw starts to form.
